It’s been a good few years since I’ve been able to skate with any decorum of skill and dexterity….mainly due to the fact that I’m too old and unfit to compete with the youngsters of today (insert old fart joke here). Re-issues of decks from my era of skating have started to pop up from time to time of late for those who want a bit of memorabilia to hang on their walls…..this is a good thing in my opinion, as the originals go for 4 figure prices on ebay.
World Industries (including the arms of Blind, 101 and Plan B) was one of my favourite companies during the later part of my skating career. 3 skaters featured in this stable were Jeremy Klein, Guy Mariano and Rudy Johnson and I’ve been lucky enough to be able to get my hands on these re-issues of their classic decks…admitedly the Klein is the Dream Girl graphic only and the company associated with the re-release is Jeremy’s company Hookups, but it’ll do. The others are retros by the original company: Blind….heres hoping that more re-issues follow.
